Worship

Our Vision for Worship at Westminster

Corporate worship, when we as the family of God join together to hear God’s Word proclaimed and respond in thankfulness and praise, is the heart of what we do here at Westminster! Our desire is to lead and join our brothers and sisters in genuine, Christ-centered, biblical worship so that we may individually grow in our relationship with the Lord and also grow into the united body of Jesus that we are called to be.

Opportunities to serve in the worship ministry

Westminster Worship Choir – This choir is open to anyone from high school age and up. We lead the congregation in worship every other week and also participate in special services throughout the year, especially at Christmas and the Easter season. We have practices each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the choir room. If you have a heart to sing to the glory of the Lord with a great group of fellow believers, this is the place for you!

Westminster Worship Team – This group leads the congregation, both instrumentally and vocally, each week in our worship services. If you play an instrument or enjoy singing in a smaller group, and have a heart for music in the church’s worship, you’re welcome to see if this might be a way you can serve! We meet on Thursdays at 6:45 p.m. in the sanctuary for practice.

Please feel free to come to any practices to see if these might be areas you can serve in the church body here at Westminster!

“Oh, sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised!”

Psalm 96:1-4
