Heero & Anya Hacquebord

Mission to the World

Church Planting

Heero Hacquebord was born in South Africa, but moved to the United States when he was 15. After seminary, he began his missionary work in Ukraine in 1996, and went on work as a church planter in Nikolaev (southern Ukraine) and then Kiev. While in Kiev (from 2002-2005), he met and married his wife Anya, a native Ukranian. They were blessed with a daughter in 2004.

Heero and Anya left Kiev in 2005 to return to the US to be approved and raise support as long-term missionaries with Mission to the World (or MTW, which is the missions part of the PCA church). They will be returning to Ukraine in January 2007.

The Hacquebords are serving in L'viv, which is the largest city in Western Ukraine. There are a number of smaller Protestant congregations, but no Presbyterian or Reformed churches. They hope to plant the first one!
