Jeff & Patty Borden

South Africa

Mission to the World

Training Pastors

Patty came to Christ in 1974 while attending nursing school in Pittsburgh, PA, through Nurses Christian Fellowship. Jeff became a Christian through a Navigator ministry in 1978 at West Libery State College in WV.

Jeff and Patty met at West Virginia University where both worked and became involved in the Navigator ministry. After their marriage in 1983, they entered Columbia Biblical Senimary and Graduate School of Missions. A summer teaching experience at Swaziland Evangelical Bible Institute helped them discern God's leading into missions.

In 1988, after Jeff graduated with a M.Div. and Patty with a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Studies, they moved to Virginia Beach, VA where Jeff became an intern and later assistant pastor of New Covenant (PCA). The three years there helped prepare them for a furure ministry of training national church leadership.

The Bordens served at Rusitu Bible College in rural Zimbabwe for almost three years and are presently ministering in South Africa, where they have been for the past four years. Jeff is teaching at the Bible Institute of South Africa and also training pastors. Their goal is to help meet the great need for well-trained national leadership in southern African churches.

They are blessed with three children, Daniel (8/23/85), Matthew (9/3/90), and Lydia (1/6/98).
