Adults

"The church is central to God's plan of salvation. God saves people into a new community, which is the vanguard of a new humanity. To be called to Christ is to throw in one's lot with his people."

Westminster Communities

Our Communities are the heart of connectedness at Westminster. The adults in the Communities meet for teaching and fellowship while their children, if they have any, are in groups of their own. While Communities are based on a similar family life stage or a common interest, you can attend any Community that is of interest to you.

Find where you belong. Here are our current groups:

  • Twenty-Somethings--Single adults 18-30 years of age
  • Young Marrieds--Newly married and engaged couples
  • New Horizons--Mid-life singles and couples
  • Wisdom Seekers--Families with young children
  • Student Families--Families with children in Jr. and Sr. High
  • Prime Time--Adults of all ages
  • Bereans--Adults of all ages
  • A New Community--A brand new community for adults of all ages

We hope that you'll join one of our communities and build lasting relationships as you grow in Christ in community.

Small Groups

When you're ready to connect, grow and serve on a deeper level, you're ready for a Westminster Small Group.

These groups flow naturally out of the relationships built in our Communities, and are primarily small, single-gender groups of about 3-6 people.

These are safe places where we can open up with one another and be vulnerable together, learning to live the gospel in our lives in very practical and joyful ways.

If you'd like to be a part of a small group, talk with your Community leader.

Classes

We think learning God's word and how to live in God's world are very important. So we provide many classes to help you grow. We've listed just of few titles below to give you an idea of the kind of classes available at Westminster. In the fall, winter and spring quarters our Congregational Communities study a wide variety of topics. Plus we offer some of these classes at various other times throughout the year. Here are some of the classes we offer:

  • What Does Reformed Mean?
  • Financial Peace University
  • Studies in specific books of the Bible
  • The Case for Kids
  • Communicant's Class for children
  • Understanding the Story of the Bible
  • Christianity Explored

Seniors

The Timothy Ministry exists to get to know the seniors at Westminster better and assist with their special needs. This ministry is based on 1 Timothy 5 and is focused on men and women in our church who are at least 65 years old and have need of support or assistance due to a deceased or extremely ill spouse.

As their church family, we are committed to showing the love, respect, and honor due to our seniors. Through frequent prayer, phone calls, and visitation we are able to identify and assist with their special needs. To help encourage fellowship among the seniors, we coordinate special gatherings.

Men's and Women's Ministries

Whether you're looking for a men's prayer breakfast, mothers' groups, or just a gender-specific Bible study, we have men's and women's ministries that allow you the opportunity to meet, connect with and grow with other men and women in the church.

Military Families

Many of our families are involved in the military, and we have special groups to help you connect with one another. From Officer's Christian Fellowship groups to Military Wives groups we want to help you develop meaningful relationships as long as you are in the area.

Singles

Our young singles meet for Bible study, prayer, fellowship and sometimes volleyball. Join them on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.
