At Westminster

CARE stands for Children and Adults in a Responsible Environment. We love our kids and want you to know that we take good care of them! All of our children's workers are CARE certified, which means they've had background checks, interviews, and undergo regular training on child safety and security policies.

Volunteer Opportunities

Worship and Music Ministry

If you have musical and artistic skills, we have many opportunities for you to get involved. These include playing instruments, singing, painting, photography, and helping with Audio/Visual needs.

Some examples of how people serve include:

  • Taking photos to document and remember church events

  • Singing in the choir

  • Serving with the worship team through singing or playing an instrument

  • Working on the audio/visual team for special events and Sunday mornings

W-Kids (Children’s Ministry)

There are so many ways to serve our families with children! Commitments range from weekly over the course of a year to a matter hours for special occasions.

Some of the roles you can serve in include:

  • Nursery and Preschool workers (Sunday mornings and throughout the week)

  • Children’s Church helpers

The Harbour (Youth Group)

Our Youth Ministry exists to assist parents in discipling their 6-12th grade students. Discipling means teaching, loving, influencing and doing life with others so they grow to become more like Jesus.

  • The Crew (Youth participants who lead worship at Youth Group)

  • D-Group Leaders

Hospitality

It takes a lot of helping hands to give Westminster its welcoming glow on Sunday mornings! Sign up to join the rotation of smiling faces who help us welcome our friends and new guests each time we open the doors!

  • Coffee Clean-up (serve once every other month)

  • Greeters (at building doors)

  • Ushers (at Sanctuary doors)

  • Welcome Desk and Lounge

Adult Discipleship

There are so many ways that we work to support our members in their walk with Christ. Coming alongside someone is one of the easiest ways to share the love of God and offer support.

  • Teaching or hosting Sunday morning Connection Classes

  • Leading a Small Group

  • Women of Westminster (leading Bible Studies, supporting special events, and more!)

  • Timothy (serving members ages 65+)

  • MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers support and fellowship group)

Prayer

The power of prayer is undeniable. Our Prayer and Care Team (PACT) is comprised of members of our congregation who are committed to praying for the needs of our body.

  • Join the prayer team

  • Visit homes and members to pray with them

  • Sign-up to receive weekly prayer concerns sent out by the office
